How to Know Which Cab Size Your Vehicle Is

- Cab Options for Chevrolet & GMC Trucks -

The most common truck cab out there is a regular cab. Regular truck cabs have 2 doors only, one on each side.

Extended cab trucks have 2 full hinge doors and 1 to 2 suicide doors. The suicide door(s) will be either on both sides or on one for back seat access.

Crew cabs have 4 full hinge doors that open in the same direction, just like a 4 door car.

 

 

 

 

- Cab Options for Cab & Chassis Trucks -

 

1. Regular Cab (reg cab)

The most common truck cab out there is a regular cab. Regular truck cabs have 2 doors only, one on each side. The only difference on a cab & chassis is that there is no truck bed. 


2. Extended Cab (ext cab)

Extended cab trucks have 2 full hinge doors and 1 to 2 suicide doors. The suicide door(s) will be either on both sides or on one for back seat access. The only difference on a cab & chassis is that there is no truck bed.
